The Memories

Seventh grade has given me many memories, but here are three of them. For starters when I met my friends. There all so caring and very funny to be around, I love all of their personality and sense of humors. Another memory I enjoy are the avid field trips with the avid students. We got to run around to scavenger hunts in the rain, get food, and just hangout with one another.

I’m so grateful we were able to go on two field trips this year. Especially because we got to know are classmates better by communicating. My last favorite memory are all of the lunches we had this year. During this school year all of the lunches and breaks were so much fun to have with everyone. We got to play around with are friends, talk about different conversations with groups, and even sharing lunches with people you sit with. I can’t wait to make even more memories in the future and especially over summer break.

Happiness

Happiest isn’t based off of what you have, but how you use it and who your sharing it with . As it shows the picture on the left, there’s a young boy who has so much given to him by his parents. Except he’s not happy nor satisfied with anything he has to play with. On the other hand you can see the little boy on the right has little to almost nothing for himself. Yet he still seems very grateful and happy to be able to have anything for himself.

April Rad Reading

This month I read The Natural by Jennifer Lynn Barnes. This story is about a seventeen-year-old girl named Cassie. She’s a natural at reading people, by putting together every detail. She’s able to tell you things you hadn’t even known about yourself before, Cassie moved across the country to train with a special group of teenagers. The group works together to crack open different types of unsolved homicides.

I recommend reading this story because it gives you the feeling that you’re in the life style as Cassie. Considering that the author wrote the story in first person, the story’s very detailed and descriptive to the readers. I would especially recommend the story if you’re into adventure mixed with criminal minds scenario’s.

My favorite quote from the story is “ You feel stupid. Doesn’t mean you are.” Ever since I read that quote from the story, I find it a very comforting quote. In my opinion it shows that even though you can feel a certain way. It doesn’t mean the thought you have determines who you are.

My favorite character from the story would be Micheal. Micheal is apart of the program who work with teens, to help with unsolved homicides. He takes the role of being partners with Cassie to help her with the homicide cases.

20% project week 5

This week for my project I worked on sewing together holes in the same T-shirt I brought in last week. Hand sewing is a very useful skill, whether ur repairing a tear, hemming on a pair of jeans, and more. This week I want to accomplish buying fabric and cutting them into small stars, so I’m able to hem the patches onto a pair of thrifted jeans. For the week I might have some problems while cutting out the right star shape and being able to make sure that their even. The reason I feel that cutting out the stars will be a problem because, I usually struggle with making the stars symmetrical. Also just making the shape in general because I can’t make stars by just using four corners. So I’ll try to search up some videos on how to draw stars, thank you for reading!

20% project Week 3

This week, I brought a ziplock bag filled with materials to class. Inside was scissors, thread, a needle, and an old shirt that I don’t wear anymore. I chose to use the fabric from the shirt since I’m used to sewing fabric. I first would cut the shirt into small squares for what I need to do my project. I then cut the top, bottom, and sides up to make them even to start sewing. After I sewed them all up, my idea was to make it look almost like a small flat pillow.

One thing I struggled on this week was sewing around the corners of each square. The seem of the thread would keep getting tangled up together, so I need to figure out or look up ways to help me get better on sewing the corners. I know practicing will help me figure out some of the issues I might be having. For week 4, I want to work on that so I get the stitching around the edges a lot neater and better.

20% Project Week2

This Friday we were given time in class to work on the subject we chose. To help with being successful of my project, I went to Joans which is a supply store that has needles, paint, threading, fabric and more. In class I brought a needle and thread I used a blue sheet of paper from the cabinets in the class and sewed different kinds of stitchings that are mainly used. I looked up videos on YouTube like “ what are types of patterns?”, “how to knot thread?” or videos like those.

I decided I wanted to take different types of fabric and cut them into squares so I’m able to sew them on easily. At the start of this project I struggled with the way I would Tie knots out of the thread. Considering how small the types of thread are , it usually depends on the sizes of thread you purchased.

My Favorite Room

My favorite room in my home is my bedroom! I always spend my free time in my room if I’m not out with friends. When you walk into my room you can see a rack of clothes that are hanging up. On the right there a black dresser with my makeup and necessities on it like books, perfumes, etc. Then there’s my bed with my stuffed animals on it including pillows , throw over blankets, and more. The closet is on the far left side of the room, on top of the dresser there my tv and wall decor on whole right side of my room. Here are three reasons as to why it is my favorite room. One it reminds me of a comfort place, anytime I’m not in my best mood I can always go in there and relax. Another reason is, that’s the place I get all of my work done and I’m able to get creative and do whatever I want. I always get tired or sleepy so anytime I feel like I need a nap to reset myself for the day I’m able to just take a rest for a little so I’m ready for the day.

20% project week 4

This week for my 20% project, I had trouble last week about how I can sew the corners up together. Without my thread getting tangled up together the first thing I tried was sewing up one side after I tied a knot and started a new knot. After that I continued sewing along the same corners as before.

When I realized that wouldn’t work I tried again by using one single thread and sewed as normal, up until I got to the corners. As I got to the corner I went from the left to the right so that the thread was able to stay still, as I was sewing the edge up. This week I didn’t find myself with anything challenges or troubles while I was working on my stitching.

Dinner For Three

There are so many people I would want to invite to dinner, but my top three are Micheal B Jordon,Givēon, and Frank Ocean. Here are some reasons as to why I picked these three people. A reason I would love to have dinner with Micheal B Jordon, is because I love his acting skills and all to the movies he’s came out in. Givēon is one of my favorite music artist along with Frank Ocean, I always listen to their music when I’m in my room, class when we’re allowed to listen to music. I’ve always liked their taste in the songs they produced.

I think it would be amazing to have some of my top favorite actor and singers over for dinner.

The Dream!

If I could have any job in the world I would want to be an accountant. I’ve always found interest in being an accountant, even in fifth-grade. A accountant helps with making critical financial decisions, by collecting, tracking, and correcting any company’s. I think it would be really fun and beneficial to help others with their businesses. If I were to ever be an accountant, I would be able to financially support myself without depending on others. To be an accountant you must have a bachelors degree, passing the CPA exam, and at least twenty-four units in accounting related subjects. It seems interesting knowing that accountants examine financial statements to ensure the accuracy.

Another reason I wish to be an accountant is the process. The years of college, degrees, financial aid, and even learn about taxes. Even as I’m writing this story it’s interesting to learn the facts about accountants, so I really understand what I’m writing about.
